An island in the desert (Episode 19)

We’re heading to the Makgadikgadi salt pans in Botswana, the biggest in the world. They only fill up with water during the raining season. During the dry season, they become a huge salty desert. In the middle, a few islands.
But, be aware, if you drive in, the salty crust can crake under your wheels, leaving you grounded for a few hours… or a few days !
